Itinerary

SATURDAY SPLIT – OMIŠ/PUČIŠĆA (L)

Departure from Split at 13:00h (late arrivals can join in Omiš) followed by lunch on board and a swimming stop. We continue to Omiš or to Pučišća on the island of Brač. Omiš is a striking, coastal town surrounded by dramatic canyons and cliffs, where the river Cetina flows into the Adriatic sea. Take the chance here to try Cetina river rafting or the Cetina Canyon zipline. Other options include a climb to the old fortress above the town, a game of volleyball on the beach or simply stroll through the old town of Omiš and discover the glorious long history through the abundant historical monuments. Pučišća on the northern side of Brač is a typical Mediterranean place at the bottom of a deep bay. It’s claim to world fame is the white stone of Brač used in Liverpool Cathedral, White House in Washington and more. Usually, there is a chance to visit a stone-masonry workshop, one of the few such workshops still in operation in Europe. Enjoy the domestic food, wine and famous olive oil. If in Omiš, look out for pirates, part of the town’s heritage! Overnight in the port of Pučišća or Omiš.

SUNDAY OMIŠ/PUČIŠĆA – KORČULA (B, L)

Early departure so by the time you are enjoying breakfast Omiš/Pučišća will already be behind us. After a morning swim in the crystal blue sea, we cruise toward Korčula; the birthplace of Marco Polo. Lunch will be served either on the tip of the Pelješac peninsula (near Lovište) or in the quiet bay of Kneža on Korčula. We arrive in the afternoon in Korčula for sightseeing of this exceptional town (Included on Premium and Prem. Superior). According to legend Korčula was found by the Trojan hero Anthenor in the 12th century B.C. This beautiful Dalmatian island has more legends and tales than anywhere else and you may hear some. Impressive monuments too. In the evening, we recommend you visit one of numerous local konobas or enjoy the stunning views across to the mainland from the numerous cafes and bars. Overnight in Korčula.

MONDAY KORČULA – LASTOVO (UBLI) (B, L, CD)

Before we leave Korčula, why not take a walk by the marina or through the nearby open market where you can souvenirs and other local specialities. We continue our cruise towards Lastovo, the most distant inhabited island in Dalmatia and which Romans called the Imperial island (approx. EUR 5.- to be paid on the spot to enter Nature Park Lastovo zone). We dock in the port of Ubli. From there we take the local bus or taxi to Lastovo village and visit the local winery where you can taste some indigenous wine sorts (optional). The island is surrounded by many smaller islands, with secluded bays and coves perfect for snorkelling. The town is also known for the number of little churches and unusually shaped chimneys unique to Lastovo. Overnight on anchor in bay with Captain`s Dinner on board. (Included on Prem. And Prem.Superior).

TUESDAY LASTOVO – RAVNIK (GREEN CAVE) – KOMIŽA/VIS (B, L)

Early morning departure towards Vis island, which was “off limits” to tourists for many years. Because of its unique geographical position, it was a strategic harbour for the Yugoslav navy and in this period of isolation Vis has retained a rather special charm reflecting the “‘Mediterranean as it once was” making it really interesting to see. Near Vis, there is tiny Ravnik island, where the Green Cave (approx. EUR 10.-) is situated and which was named after the unusual greenish light that reflects in the sea from the hole on the top of the cave. Depending on the weather conditions we plan to have a short swim here, and then we sail further to the town of Komiža/Vis for overnight. Komiža is a typical Mediterranean place on the western part of the island, famous for its fishing traditions and heritage. Enjoy the walk through the narrow alleys and historic aspects, or maybe walk or relax on one of the pebble beaches where the sea is fed by fresh water springs, that stretch along the whole eastern side of the Komiža bay. The town of Vis is on the northern side of the island and was developed near the remains of ancient Issa, the first urban centre in Croatia, formed by the Greeks in 4th century B.C. Visit the remains of the Roman Baths, City museum or take a walk enjoying the view of the beautiful Villae Rusticae situated along the coast.

WEDNESDAY KOMIŽA/VIS – BIŠEVO (BLUE CAVE) – STARI GRAD (B, L)

Early in the morning we cruise towards little Biševo island to visit the Blue Cave, a magnificent natural phenomenon. As sometimes weather conditions can be very unpredictable, cave visit may be closed due to wind and/or high tide – you will be notified, in time, by the crew. Entrance to Blue Cave is to be paid on the spot (approx. EUR 14.- per person). We continue towards Stari Grad on the island of Hvar where records confirm that this is the sunniest Adriatic island. Free afternoon to explore this unique town and its famous horseshoe shaped bay. The famous Stari Grad Field (a plain) is the oldest in Croatia and the best preserved example of the ancient Greek system of agriculture. Both the old town and this plain are part of the world heritage protected by UNESCO. Overnight in one of the ports of Stari Grad, main or ferry port (2 km away) depending on availability in port. Optional guided tour of Stari Grad (included on Premium Superior).

THURSDAY STARI GRAD – BOL (B, L)

After breakfast, we cruise towards the beautiful Brač island and the famous town of Bol which has one of the most unusual, and most photographed beaches in Dalmatia. We plan to swim there at Zlatni Rat, the Golden Horn (or cape) a shingle bar or spit that shifts from side to side, changing shape according to the change in direction of the wind and waves. Bol is a typical fishermen’s town which has become a popular tourist destination without being spoilt. Here we spend the night and have the opportunity to enjoy excellent fresh fish, local wines and other delicacies of this unique island. Take a walk on the seaside promenade or cycle along the promenade. Hike or rent a scooter to visit Vidova Gora (at 778m, the highest point in the Croatian Adriatic) for a spectacular view of Bol and beyond including the island of Hvar or visit the semi-abandoned village of Murvica.

FRIDAY BOL – SPLIT (B, L)

Enjoy the best of the last day relaxing and swimming in various quiet bays on the island of Brač before arriving in Split in the afternoon. Split is Croatia’s second city, a busy university and maritime town and the capital of the Dalmatia region. Split is a city under UNESCO protection, and its historical and cultural monuments are wondrous both to local inhabitants, but also to the many visitors who fall in love with this 1,000 plus year old beauty. There’s the possibility of joining a sightseeing tour of the old town (included on Premium Superior) including Diocletian’s palace which the Roman emperor had built as his retirement home.

SATURDAY SPLIT (B)

We have an early breakfast and then there’s time to say goodbye to the crew and all your new friends. See you again!
